What is Cordyceps?

Cordyceps sinensis is a mushroom with broad ranging medicinal properties applied in traditional Chinese medicine for many centuries, and in a similar manner to Ganoderma lucidum has become increasingly utilised in western medicine. Research has shown that Cordyceps sinensis has properties of free radical scavenging, anti-senesence, anti-atherosclerotic effects, is restorative of sexual function and protective against renal disease and toxicity.

 

Traditional use of this herb was for respiratory health, increasing energy, assisting vitality as well as improving sexual energy and desire.


If you find you get tired easily, Cordyceps is helpful for fatigue and it is often used to restore energy after illness and strengthen your general resistance.
